Fotograf is a two-part project that deploys photography, video, and community performance as tools for reflection and dialogue. Developed during an artist residency at Zoma Contemporary Art Center in Harla, the project began with an 8-minute video work. Instead of taking still portraits, the gathered locals were filmed as they posed for a photograph, capturing the quiet tension between expectation and presence.
The second component, a drama titled Wond Ena Set (Male and Female), was performed by students at Harla Primary School as part of the SurVivArt initiative. Through forum theatre, the drama reversed traditional gender roles by placing professions that defy local understandings of gendered roles. These performances invited audience participation, sparking conversations about gender equality and social norms.
