This issue captures the volatile six months of Abiy Ahmed’s takeover as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and the ‘peace’ accord with Eritrea. Through a mix of satire and reportage, the newspaper documents a moment of political rupture and promises.
To expand its reach, artists Engdaye Lemma and Teimar Tegene produced 100 silk-screened copies of the newspaper. The issue stands as both artifact and intervention, marking a turning point in Ethiopian politics while reflecting on the role of art in shaping public memory.
